10 Of Our Favourite Wine Brands We Have Tasted This Year

2020 has been a rough year and we are only just past the halfway mark. We have made it this far with the help of some amazing wine brands who just always get us.

Jordan Wines is one of those brands that just cannot do anything wrong. Their wines are incredible, their farm is beautiful, their restaurant serves some of the best food in the winelands and their accommodation is amazing.

Nederburg Wines is one of those classic South African wine brands that just continues to impress and deliver year after year, vintage after vintage and the best thing is that we just keep discovering new favourites from their range.

Vrisenhof is our go-to everyday drinking wine. Their easy drinking wine and fun, no nonsense approach to winemaking certainly caught our eye and they have remained a firm favourite.

We have known Ewan from The Wine Thief for a number of years and always admired his knowledge and approach to introducing people to wine and this year we got to taste his latest collaboration wine blend and we were totally blown away. Stock up on this before it runs dry.

Warwick Wines is another incredible all-round wine brand that not only delivers the most amazing wines across their range but has one of the best wine farms and picnic offerings in the winelands. Their full-bodied wines are perfect for a special occasion.

Lozarn Wines was one of our wines of 2019 and they continue to deliver incredible vintages that are not only unique but also deliver on everything they promise. Every time we enjoy a bottle of their wine we are impressed.

The Garajeest is an Artisan one-woman wine brand that despite its size punches well above their weight. The passion and love that goes into each bottle is evident in every sip and their wines demonstrate the capability of the brand.

We discovered Hartenberg a few years ago and they have become one of our firm favourites both in terms of their incredible wines which get better with every vintage and their amazing wine farm which is beautiful and serves some amazing food.

Despite being one of South Africa’s established wine brands we have only recently become familiar with Perdeberg Wines and we can see why they have been around for so long with some amazing wines to suit every occasion.

The Constantia Wine Valley is probably our favourite place in the world and Klein Constantia is one of those farms that never cease to amaze us. You might be aware of their incredible wines but give their Bistro a try for some delicious food.

With a few months left of the year we are looking forward to trying some new discoveries including Idun Wines, Spider Pig Wines and Lord’s Wines.
